Neurofeedback at Catalyst Mental Health Solutions

From experience as a therapist and supervisor of therapists in Valley County for many years, there have always been folks for whom the available services have not been enough. There is great therapy and medication support. However, for some, the symptoms are not resolved. For some, therapy is taking too long. Some “don’t believe in” or have adverse reactions to pharmaceuticals. Some are dealing with complex situations like ADHD, addiction or PTSD and the current options are only partially helping. We brought micro-current neurofeedback (MCN) to help fill this void. Instead of suppressing reactions, MCN gently nudges the brain to reactivate the parasympathetic nervous system functioning to increase calm, improve clarity and allow the brain to rest and restore during sleep in a sustainable manner. This is safe and effective for people of all ages.

What is IASIS Neurofeedback?

IASIS Neurofeedback provides a low-level feedback designed to support how your brain regulates itself.

During a session, small sensors are placed on the scalp to deliver extremely mild microcurrents — far below the level you would feel. These signals help the brain recognize and adjust patterns that may be contributing to symptoms like stress, poor focus, or difficulty sleeping.

It’s not about forcing change. It’s about helping your brain reset and function more efficiently.

How It Works

1. Identify patterns

We look at your symptoms and determine if MCN is appropriate for your situation.

2. Apply gentle microcurrents

Sensors deliver very low-level signals to support brain regulation.

3. Brain responds and adjusts

Your brain uses this input to shift out of inefficient patterns.

4. Improvements build over time

With consistent sessions, many clients notice better regulation and stability.

What to expect

Sessions are simple and comfortable. Sensors are placed on the scalp, and most people feel relaxed during the process.

Each session typically lasts around 30-40 minutes. Many clients describe feeling calmer or more settled afterward, while others notice gradual changes over a series of sessions.

There’s often no downtime, and sessions can be integrated alongside counseling or EMDR.

When we recommend MCN

MCN isn’t for everyone — and we don’t use it as a one-size-fits-all solution.

We typically recommend it when symptoms appear tied to how the brain is functioning, such as ongoing stress responses, difficulty regulating mood, or challenges with focus and sleep. It is also a good option when other treatments have not adequately resolved symptoms.

For some clients, it works best as part of a broader treatment plan that may also include therapy or EMDR.
